About the role
Full Stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus, working across React, TypeScript, GraphQL and modern frontend architecture patterns. You'll help build customer journeys that enable clients to discover investments, compare savings products, search financial instruments and complete account opening and transfer journeys across the Discover platform.
We're expanding our Discover engineering team and are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to help shape and evolve one of our key customer discovery platforms.
You'll work primarily on modern React applications and customer-facing experiences, whilst remaining comfortable contributing to backend services and APIs when required. This is an opportunity to work with modern frontend technologies, GraphQL-driven experiences, micro-frontend architectures and customer journeys that play a key role in our digital strategy.
We're looking for engineers who are passionate about creating exceptional user experiences, take ownership of their work, and enjoy collaborating across product, design and engineering disciplines.
You'll help build customer journeys that enable clients to discover investment opportunities, compare savings products, search across financial instruments and complete account opening and transfer journeys.

- Design, develop and maintain customer-facing applications across the Discover platform.
- Build responsive, accessible and high-performing user experiences using React and TypeScript.
- Develop and enhance features across multiple frontend applications and shared component libraries.
- Consume and integrate GraphQL and REST APIs within modern frontend architectures.
- Contribute to the evolution of our micro-frontend and platform architecture.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver customer value.
- Take ownership of features from design through to production deployment.

- Drive engineering improvements, automation and operational excellence.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews and architecture conversations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
