About the Role
Are you looking for a role where your code directly impacts strategic business growth? Epos Now is expanding its Engineering department in Norwich! We are seeking a talented and driven Software Engineer to join our team for an exciting, incremental growth initiative centered around a brand-new project footprint.
In this role, you will take hands-on technical ownership to drive a key organizational milestone: the successful Delivery of our Embedded Accountancy project. You will work alongside a collaborative squad of engineers to design, build, and optimize scalable systems that integrate financial workflows seamlessly into our global retail platform.

Key Responsibilities & Measures of Success (KPIs):
- Project Delivery: Actively develop, test, and implement core engineering features to ensure the successful launch of the Embedded Accountancy project.
- System Health: Maintain excellent coding standards, optimize backend logic, and ensure data integrity across our financial integration systems.
- Technical Collaboration: Contribute to internal architecture discussions and cross-functional planning to support our expanding engineering pipeline.
What We Are Looking For:
- Commercial experience working as a Software Engineer, with strong foundations in object-oriented programming, modern backend languages, and database design.
- Exposure to building or integrating APIs, data pipelines, accounting ledger logic, or cloud-native platform services.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to translate complex requirements into clean, manageable, and performant code.
- Proximity or willingness to work out of our Norwich Head Office (Unit 7).
