Ready to build products used by millions?

Looking for a role where your code has real impact?

Want to work with modern technologies, AI-powered development, and a highly collaborative engineering team?

If you're a Software Engineer who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, building high-quality products, and working in a cloud-first environment, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a growing engineering team responsible for developing a globally used digital platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on products that reach millions of users while collaborating with talented engineers, designers, product specialists, and data experts.

You'll be joining a business that values innovation, continuous learning, and giving engineers the autonomy to make meaningful technical decisions.

The Opportunity

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll help design, build, and enhance scalable applications using modern technologies including Java, React, SQL and AWS. You'll take ownership of features throughout the development lifecycle, from initial ideas through to deployment and ongoing improvement.

Working within an agile engineering environment, you'll have the opportunity to influence technical direction, experiment with new approaches, and use AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining high engineering standards.

This role follows a remote-first model, with occasional team gatherings at the Oxford office for planning, collaboration and connection.

Why This Role is Great

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Build features that deliver real value to a large global customer base.
  • Take ownership of projects from technical design through to deployment and ongoing optimisation.
  • Work closely with Product, Design and Data teams to shape future functionality.
  • Develop modern cloud-based applications using Java, React, SQL and AWS technologies.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and tackle more complex engineering challenges.
  • Improve application reliability through monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting and continuous service improvements.
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code with performance, scalability and security in mind.
  • Participate in code reviews while sharing knowledge and supporting the growth of fellow engineers.
  • Contribute ideas that influence engineering practices, architecture and product direction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
