We are growing our engineering team at Trustpilot and are looking to welcome a Senior Software Engineer into our B2B Integrations Squad!
About the Team and Mission:
The Integrations Squad's mission is to empower businesses of all sizes—from sole traders to global enterprises—to seamlessly incorporate Trustpilot into their customer feedback workflows. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in overseeing the health and evolution of 20+ distinct integrations (including Shopify, Salesforce, and HubSpot), improving scalability whilst optimising for future growth.
You will join a cross-functional team with full ownership of our products and codebase, where you will take part in every step of the development process, from ideation to maintenance. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to spearhead the development of our products. Your expertise will help guide architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and mentor fellow engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Backend Stability & Scalability: Understand the existing technical landscape to plan, implement, and release new features with a focus on system reliability.
- Architectural Oversight: Architect solutions to handle the complexities of 20+ integrations while maintaining the internal tools and documentation used to improve team resilience and tech footprint.
- Adaptable Problem Solving: Troubleshoot existing software, resolve bugs across the full stack, and navigate a multifaceted technical environment with ease.
- Technical Leadership: Inspire and guide the organization with your knowledge of how to solve complex architectural challenges and naturally untangle legacy systems.
- Best Practices & Infrastructure: Help lead the technical direction of the team through the adoption of engineering best practices, robust tooling, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Mentoring, coaching, and supporting less experienced colleagues to help them grow.
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product leadership to align technical debt reduction with long-term business value.
Who You Are
- Senior-Level Full-Stack Expertise: Experience at a senior level building full-stack applications, paired with a deep focus and passion for backend engineering on Cloud Services, system stability, and modern frontend tools like React, Next.js, and CSS Modules.
- A Growth Mindset for Legacy Systems: You are energized by a complex backlog, finding genuine satisfaction in driving platform-wide improvements and untangling legacy code.
- Deep Backend Proficiency: Extensive proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript, combined with a deep understanding of APIs, Webhooks, and OAuth protocols.
- Strong Cloud & Infrastructure Knowledge: Proficient experience with AWS (specifically Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, ECS, SNS, and CloudFormation), alongside containerization, data, and infrastructure systems like Docker, Terraform, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery.
- Customer-centric: A solution-oriented mindset dedicated to the customer experience, thriving in collaborative environments where you can help establish clear ownership boundaries across enterprise platforms like Salesforce and Zuora.
- Supportive Leadership: A motivation to encourage yourself and the people around you to constantly improve in a healthy, sustainable way.
- Team Focus: An understanding that maintenance-heavy work requires resilience, acting as a supportive leader who ensures every team member feels valued.
