Title: Software Engineer

Client: Elite Buy-Side Fund

Salary: Up to £140,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location: London (Hybrid)

The Opportunity

Step into a high-performance role at the intersection of finance and technology. As a Software Engineer, you'll design, build and optimise mission-critical trading infrastructure, develop data-intensive systems, and leverage cutting-edge technologies to power real-time decision-making at scale.

Your Responsibilities (Full Spec Available)

  • Design, develop and optimise high-performance trading systems operating in latency-sensitive environments
  • Write efficient, production-grade code focused on minimising latency, maximising throughput and ensuring reliability under demanding market conditions
  • Collaborate with traders, researchers and engineers to deliver technology that drives investment and trading decisions
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, machine learning techniques and advanced tooling to maintain and enhance competitive advantage

Who You Are

  • Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (technology agnostic), with low-latency, distributed systems or performance-critical development experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking and computer architecture
  • Experience designing scalable, high-throughput systems and diagnosing performance bottlenecks
  • Naturally curious problem solver with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, intellectually demanding environments
