Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer (Web)
About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our digital website engineering team, focusing on frontend (Next.js) and backend (Laravel) development, with a foundation in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Our web team is scaling up, working on dynamic web platforms, competitive backends, and innovative customer-facing solutions. You’ll collaborate in a fast-paced, inclusive environment, enjoying clear career progression and the chance to shape the future of our digital services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js (React-based framework) and Laravel.
- Collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver responsive and dynamic UI/UX.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following TDD principles.
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate frontend with backend services.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
- Debug and resolve technical challenges across the full technical stack.
- Stay updated with best practices and emerging trends in web development.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of professional experience in web development.
- Strong proficiency in Next.js and familiarity with React.js.
- Laravel (PHP) backend experience.
- Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
