An innovative organisation in the global banking sector is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team in Canary Wharf.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development life cycle of desktop applications, from initial requirement gathering through to production and disaster recovery support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and programming desktop applications using WPF and WinForms within a C#.NET environment.
  • Conducting business data analysis and defining database objects for integration with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
  • Setting up system distribution methods for Citrix and application servers for both web and window-based platforms.
  • Troubleshooting system failures and implementing solutions across Windows Operating Systems and Internet Information Services.
  • Liaising with cross-functional teams including Technical Support, Network Infrastructure, and Database Administrators to resolve user issues.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong proficiency in C# development with experience in WPF and WinForms applications.
  • Solid understanding of database inquiry languages including T-SQL and PL/SQL for data analysis.
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle including QA, production rollout, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with MS.Net Framework updates and maintaining common development styles within a team.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
