Kensho is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Platform team in New York City. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the core infrastructure and services that power Kensho's AI products. You will work closely with data scientists, researchers, and other engineers to ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and efficient.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs.
- Build and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance data processing pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
- Optimize existing systems for performance and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
