About the Team

AI Portal is the SaaS platform that connects Wayve to the outside world. This core team acts as the airlock between Wayve and its commercial partners, managing:

  • Data flows
  • Partner integrations
  • Operational tooling
  • Web interfaces for internal and external audiences

Operating like a startup within a scale-up, we:

  • Build product
  • Own systems end-to-end
  • Operate what we ship
  • Work closely with automotive industry leaders

The Role

This is a cloud-based software engineering position for a product-minded engineer driven by elegant, efficient construction, care for maintainability, and customer proximity.

You’ll work across services, interfaces, infrastructure, and integrations, caring for solutions in production. We’re looking for engineers comfortable moving across the stack to solve customer problems.

As part of a build-it, run-it team, you will:

  • Ship internal or partner-facing product features, including:
    • Autonomy integrations for external partners
  • Improve application quality and resolve production issues.
  • Use metrics and feedback to continuously enhance Portal, ensuring an outstanding experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and operate software products used by Wayve staff and autonomy partners.
  • Develop services, APIs, integrations, and user interfaces across the Portal platform.
  • Work across:
    • Microservices
    • Web frontends
    • Cloud infrastructure
    • Partner-facing systems
  • Improve the platform’s reliability, observability, and operability.
  • Triage and resolve production issues, whether customer-reported or detected through internal monitoring.
  • Participate in on-call and support rotations post-launch.
  • Solve problems end-to-end:
    • Understand customer needs
    • Design, build, ship, and maintain solutions

About You

Wayve seeks engineers who bring self-motivation, ownership, and technical depth with product العدالة. Here’s what we’re looking for:

Essential

  • Strong software engineering experience. Technologies used:
    • Java
    • Python
    • TypeScript & React
  • Experience building and operating production systems within a small team.
  • Experience with multi-tenant platforms or expose APIs to external users.
  • Experience building tools that streamline workflows for your team.
  • B2B/enterprise SaaS experience with customer-facing production systems.
  • Ability to move across the stack, including:
    • Infrastructure
    • Backend services
    • APIs
    • Frontend (though backend is the primary focus).
  • Experience with on-call, incident response, or production system support.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Product mindset: Truthful to business needs to address user problems—not just technical execution.
  • High-level of ownership in fast-paced, uncertain environments.
  • Motivated to thrive within a small team contributing at scale-up velocity.
