About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join Nando's dynamic and innovative technology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our digital platforms, enhancing the online ordering experience for customers worldwide. As part of our team, you will work on critical components of our eCommerce platform, focusing on the Locate, Payment, and Menu domains. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable solutions that support our fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex technical problems, a keen interest in emerging technologies, and a collaborative mindset. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software that aligns with business goals. Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background and relevant experience, including proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks. Key qualifications include:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust or Golang.
- Experience with TypeScript and React is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of agile development practices and experience breaking down complex features into manageable tasks.
- Experience working across multiple technology stacks and languages.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical topics clearly and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, especially with third-party integrations and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing systems.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at Nando's, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities aimed at delivering innovative digital solutions:
- Collaborate closely with team members across disciplines to design and implement features that meet business requirements.
- Participate in pair programming sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of team workflows.
- Support backlog prioritization by providing technical insights and effort estimates.
- Develop comprehensive end-to-end and unit tests to ensure software robustness, quality, and maintainability.
- Maintain and monitor services in production, implementing alerting and troubleshooting strategies to ensure reliability.
- Build and optimize release pipelines, supporting peers in resolving build and deployment issues.
- Engage in technical discussions with stakeholders and external partners to facilitate seamless integrations and innovative solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance our platforms.
