Software Developer - Reverse Engineering

We are looking for a Software Developer who will be focusing on reverse engineering.

Your Day to Day Role Will Include:

  • Reverse engineering and implementation of new software as requested by the Marketing department (Product Owner, GBO)
  • Log and analyse vehicle programming procedures as they are implemented in dealer tools or competitor tools
  • Bug fixing
  • New protocols reverse engineering

  • Experience in the automotive vehicle connectivity
  • C and C++ Programming
  • IDA Pro Disassembling
  • Python 2.7 or Python 3.x scripting
  • CANbus
  • UDS protocol
  • ECU logging
  • Embedded systems

Desirable Knowledge/Experience:

  • Secure design principles and technologies – encryption, authentication, etc.
  • Familiarity with hardware design principles, schematic reading.
  • Software architectures, design patterns, etc.
  • Automotive diagnostic tools, technologies and protocols
  • Networking - TCP/IP, HTTP(S), REST, WiFi.
  • IOT and messaging protocols e.g. MQTT.
  • XML, JSON.
  • Embedded databases (e.g. SQLite)
  • Embedded User Interface Frameworks (e.g. Altia)
