Role: Software Engineer
Locations: Glasgow/Edinburgh (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis)
Please Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history, typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK.

Accenture Software & Platform Engineering is over 1,000 people strong and provides end-to-end product engineering solutions which deliver tangible value, fast. We bring together an obsession for technical excellence with agility and scale, to help clients move from project to product at speed.

In our team you will:
- Typically work hand-in-hand with our clients to build great digital products for them and for their customers.
- Need experienced, capable engineers who can both deploy their own mastery to get things done hands-on and successfully lead others in doing so.
- Experience varying work nature from client to client so there will be lots of opportunities to experience new domains and new stacks.
- Lead client accounts holistically—people, delivery, quality, and commercials.
- Ensure we’re delivering great engineering and help our clients best use the capability and flexibility of a consultancy partner to reach their goals sooner.
- Keep the big picture in mind and advocate for an approach that gets the job done efficiently and with low complexity.
- Be essential contributors to our internal and regional engineering communities.
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
- Proficiency in React or Java, with several years of hands-on experience (expertise in both is not required).
- Enjoy collaborating in an open, egoless way and are adaptable, comfortable with change, and motivated to keep learning to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
Set yourself apart:
- Hands-on cloud experience, designing and delivering solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
- Proven ability to apply analytical and creative thought and translate into technical solutions.
- Proven ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with building datastore solutions on at least one No-SQL (Elasticsearch).
