Your role
Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Software Development Engineer to develop, maintain, and test engineering software used for weight optimization within the aerospace industry. The role involves designing and enhancing a computational tool that support engineering analysis and optimization activities. The successful candidate will primarily work with a C++ codebase and on a Linux based system.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Design, develop, and maintain software application for aerospace weight optimization and engineering analysis.
- Implement new features and enhancements in C++ to improve performance, reliability, and usability.
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 2-3 years’ experience developing in C++.
- Experience developing software on Linux/Unix operating systems and used to creating and maintaining Bash scripts for automation and tooling.
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
