About the Role
Our UI Engineers bring rich 2D and 3D UI screens to life, covering all technical aspects—including in-game HUD elements, user interactions, and overall user experience. The team collaborates with designers, artists, and engineers to ensure a joyful, intuitive, and outstanding gaming experience.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with a Lead Engineer to:
- Develop technical designs and high-quality UI implementations in a large-scale C++ codebase.
- Maintain and extend existing UI systems for next-gen racing titles.
- Collaborate with:
- Game design, experience design, and production teams to ensure technical feasibility of UI features.
- Provide estimates for feature development and propose mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to technical documentation and "scope management".
- Improve feature quality through testing and work to automate testing processes.
- Act as a technical resource for your team, supporting multi-disciplinary collaboration.
- Identify and reduce technical debt, prioritising scalable, future-proof solutions.

Requirements & Skills
Qualifications & Technical Proficiency
- Expert-level C++ knowledge, with experience in large-scale game development.
- Familiarity with UI design patterns, particularly MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) architecture.
- Hands-on experience with:
- UI-related programming (preferably with multiple GUI libraries or frameworks).
- Debugging & profiling tools (CPU/GPU analysis, memory leaks, performance optimisation).
- Finite State Machines (FSMs) for complex interactive states.
- 3D maths and geometry (useful for in-game screens and rendering).
- Experience with cross-platform or console (PC/PS/Xbox switch ) development.
- Experience shipping games—ideal candidates have contributed to 1 or more full-lifecycle game titles in a UI-related engineering role.
