As a key member of our **Software Engineering** team, you’ll deliver critical systems for national security missions. ## Responsibilities
- Work within DevOps-powered solutions lifecycles, from proofs-of-concept to production implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional **autonomous teams** (fully supported by scrum/agile structures) to define, conceptualise, and deploy systems tailored to emerging threats.
- Define and recommend **technical solutions**, pushing boundaries with creative problem-solving and innovation.
- Leverage cutting-edge tools (e.g., **امه Cloud/Azure**, **TensorFlow**, **Kubernetes**) to accelerate capability delivery.
- Shape modern architecture principles (e.g., **microservices**, **event-driven systems**, resilience-based designs) while ensuring cross-team cohesion through mentorship.
- Advance your career through curated training (including **security patterns**, **dataOps pipelines**) and mentorship programs with divisional experts.
Your work is **impactful**. You’ll design, code, and test solutions that matter—cutting-edge technologies that directly enhance the defence landscape.

Requirements & Critical Skills
You’ll reach your best potential if you:
Core Expertise
(Knowledge and hands-on experience in at least some of these):
- Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript, .NET
- System Design: Leading or contributing to proof-of-concept or production-grade systems.
- Source Version Control: Git, Mercurial, or Perforce
- CI/CD Automation: Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket pipelines
- Automated Testing: Implementation & maintenance of test suites via SonarQube / static analysis tools
- Software Design Patterns and scalable approaches (e.g., MVVM, CQRS, event-sourcing)
Nice-to-have Bonus Levels

- Machine Learning in defence applications (e.g., Azure ML, Google TensorFlow)
- Cloud Deployment with AWS, Azure
- Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes administration
- Database Systems: PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Neo4j
Security & Compliance
- eDV (Enhanced Disclosure & Vetting) clearance – Mandatory for this role.
- Due to the role’s focus on national security, you’ll need a UK-based ** DoveTail/Icheck profile** (or potential eligibility review) through the role’s vetting pathway.
Speed of Clearance: For Capability-selection teams, expectations exceed 5 years of continuous UK residency; consult your recruiter for further verification steps.
