About the Role
GE’s Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, supplies electrification systems vital for power and energy solutions in high-performance applications. Collaborating with global energy, maritime, and industrial leaders, they drive energy efficiency and decarbonisation through motors, drives, and control technologies.
The Graduate Engineering Training Programme (GETP) is the entry path for graduates into GE Power Conversion, offering real-world impact, skill-building, and rapid progress in critical business areas.
This 18-month programme combines engineering, field service, and project management rotations, with mentorship, STEM ambassador opportunities, and professional development activities—including support for IET/IMechE paid membership.

As a participant in the GETP, you’ll develop your technical and professional abilities while:
- Working on live projects with measurable impact.
- Rotating through four key areas: Engineering, Field Service, and Project Management.
- Receiving on-the-job mentorship and supporting a professional accreditation.
- Engaging in virtual lectures, e-learning, and specialist training.
We also foster peer relationships through:
- Buddy programme pairing with current graduates.
- STEM ambassador and volunteering activities.
Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from an accredited university.
- A strong technical aptitude for problem-solving.
- A eager, proactive, and hardworking mindset, with a passion for engineering and technology.
- Unrestricted UK work authorisation (no visa sponsorship available).
