Our client, a leading enterprise organisation at the forefront of digital transformation, is looking to appoint an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple Agile engineering teams delivering innovative digital products and platforms at enterprise scale.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished technology leader who enjoys combining people leadership, technical strategy, and delivery excellence. You'll play a key role in shaping engineering practices, influencing architecture decisions, and driving the adoption of modern software development methodologies, whilst helping to embed AI-driven innovation across the organisation.

The Opportunity

As Software Engineering Manager, you'll lead several cross-functional Agile teams responsible for delivering customer-facing web and mobile solutions. Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Masters, and senior business stakeholders, you'll ensure engineering teams consistently deliver high-quality software aligned with the organisation's strategic technology roadmap.

About You

We're looking for an experienced engineering leader with a strong software development background and a passion for building exceptional teams and technology.

Essential Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role
  • Proven success delivering enterprise web and mobile platforms within Agile environments
  • Experience leading multiple engineering teams delivering complex digital products
  • Strong technical background in modern web technologies, including React, React Native, and Node.js
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, scalable system design, and secure engineering practices
  • Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrable experience driving Agile delivery, ideally within SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
  • Experience identifying and implementing AI or machine learning initiatives within software engineering environments
