Software Engineering Manager
Location: Milton Keynes – four days a week in the office.
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000
About the Role
Lead the future of engineering in a growing SaaS business
We're working with an established and growing software company in Milton Keynes as they look to bring an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead its development function.
This is a strategic leadership position where you'll oversee an engineering team of around 10 developers, shape technical direction, improve engineering processes, and play a key role in the company's next phase of growth. This is a hands-off position and you'll have genuine influence over technology strategy while driving improvements across software delivery, cloud infrastructure, and engineering standards.

Key Experience We’re Seeking
- Experience of managing a team of 5+ Software Developers
- Background in Web Development, preferably PHP, as well as experience leading cloud infrastructure projects (AWS or Azure)
- Strong knowledge of software delivery best practices and SDLC
- Experience improving engineering processes and driving technical standards
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with senior leadership
- An interest in AI-assisted software development and modern engineering practices
