Platform Engineering Manager
Location: Wallingford - Oxfordshire (Hybrid) - circa one day per week on site

At Dexory, we are transforming the warehousing and logistics industry through data intelligence.
We’re currently recruiting for a engineering manager (Platform) to lead and develop a growing team of platform engineers responsible for the internal tooling, infrastructure, data pipelines, and special projects that power our global fleet of autonomous robot.
Offices based in Wallingford, Oxford but hybrid basis (circa one day per week on site) either commutable by car or circa 40 minutes via train from London Paddington.
Any experience within robotics or start up / scale up environments desirable along with B2B SaaS experience.

Responsibilities / Skills
Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead Manager, or similar leadership role in a high-growth technology company, ideally with teams of 5–15 engineers. Must have previously worked within software or DevOps engineering and be able to demonstrate technical ability. Strong background in platform engineering, infrastructure, embedded systems, or a similarly complex technical domain. Solid understanding of system architecture, with the ability to review and challenge architectural decisions. Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting at scale (e.g. Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus). Experience with robotics, IoT, or hardware-adjacent software is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to coach and develop engineers at various career stages, with a genuine passion for helping people reach their potential. Experience managing teams working across multiple systems and technology stacks (e.g. Go, Python, TypeScript, React, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, real-time data, edge computing). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to frame technical work in terms of business value and navigate competing priorities from multiple senior leaders. Track record of operating effectively in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments where priorities shift, and pragmatic decision-making is essential. A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across engineering, product, and operations functions.
