Role description At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Software Programme Coordinator to be based at customer’s site in Woking.
Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
The Role:
The Software Programme Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of vehicle software development programmes within Electrical Systems and Controls (ES&C). This position requires strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and functions throughout the Development Process (MDP), with specific focus on software readiness and gateway management. The role holder will ensure accurate reporting, maintain high quality data standards, and provide governance and oversight to ensure all software gateway requirements and Vehicle Digital Requirements (VDR) are actioned on time across multiple programmes.

• Create comprehensive reports documenting agreed pending actions required to meet Software Gateway preconditions

• Clearly outline outstanding items, responsible parties, and target completion dates to ensure smooth progression through software gateway phases
• Oversee VDR (Vehicle Digital Requirements) life cycle through designated Jira tickets representing specific ECU software code drops, ensuring timely delivery of features as outlined in the Feature Implementation Plan
• Deliver accurate reports with high-quality data whilst maintaining collaborative relationships with operational teams • Foster trust and transparency through regular engagement with personnel directly involved in production and development activities
• Collaborate closely with E/E Domain Leads and Digital Release Engineers (DRE)/Module Owners to ensure timely and complete delivery of all requirements
• Exercise governance and oversight to ensure VDRs are actioned within prescribed timeframes throughout the complete VDR Lifecycle
• Monitor VDR status, escalate delays, and ensure resolution of blocking issues that may impact delivery schedules
• Monitor and enforce adherence to software delivery dates as predefined by programme schedules and declared by DREs and Module Owners
• Proactively identify, escalate, and de-risk potential delays in software code drops to prevent impact on downstream development activities and overall programme timelines
• Monitor resolution progress and ensure issues are addressed according to priority and impact on vehicle development timelines
Educational Background & Experience
• Engineering degree qualification (preferably Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field, 2:1 or above)

• Experience in automotive or Original Equipment Manufacturer project environments, particularly in software programme coordination
• Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning, Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination, or similar frameworks
• Experience of high volume or niche volume programmes in an OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment
Technical & Analytical Skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities with proven ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple software programmes
• Exceptional attention to detail with focus on data accuracy and quality in software development contexts
• Understanding of automotive software development processes, software architecture, and system integration
• Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach to issue resolution in complex software environments
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced software development environment
