About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Software Project Manager to join our Programme Management Office (PMO). Reporting to the Director of Product & Programmes, you will take ownership of complex, cross-functional software projects from initiation through to successful delivery.

This is a senior, high-visibility role. You will partner with colleagues across Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing, and engage regularly with C-Suite sponsors and external stakeholders. You will bring structure, pace, and clarity to ambitious projects, holding teams accountable while maintaining a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of software projects, from scoping and kick-off through to effective handover and benefits realisation.
  • Define project charters and plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and communication strategy.
  • Track and report on milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and change requests, escalating proactively where needed.
  • Facilitate Project Definition Workshops, steering groups, and regular project reviews.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored in line with PMO standards.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged at every stage.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams through matrix management, creating clarity around roles, priorities, and expectations.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Commercial teams to align project delivery with business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers and partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
