Software Project Manager / Design-Led Software Engineer for a 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract paying upto £75,000 on a Hybrid basis (3 Days in London Waterloo)
Are you a design-conscious Software Engineer or Technical Project Manager who loves bringing complex internal platforms to life?
We are looking for a Software Project Manager / Design-Led Engineer for a 12-month contract to drive the end-to-end development of a custom, highly intuitive internal ERP platform-with a view to scaling and commercialising the product for the wider market.
Based near Waterloo Station, you will report directly to the Senior Management Team, oversee a freelance developer, and blend beautiful UI design with robust, full-stack software delivery.

The Role & Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on, delivery-focused role, you will bridge the gap between design, engineering, and project coordination:
- UI/UX Design & Front-End: Craft clean, intuitive interfaces and build out responsive React components with a consistent design system.
- Full-Stack Development: Connect front-end features to back-end services, APIs, and SQL databases using TypeScript.
- Platform Logic & Interdependencies: Implement complex business logic, calculations, and rules across interdependent platform modules.
- Project Oversight & Delivery: Oversee 1 freelance developer, manage feature backlogs, and ensure steady, iterative releases.
- Commercialisation & Scalability: Build clean, modular architecture with future market launch and external product adoption in mind.
What We Are Looking For
- Technical Stack: Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and SQL.
- Product Launch Mindset: Prior experience taking an application from internal concept to market launch is highly desirable.
- Design-Led Approach: A strong eye for clean UI/UX design paired with full-stack coding capability.
- Domain Knowledge: A background or familiarity in Architecture, Architectural Design, or Construction (AEC) is a huge plus.
- Leadership & Delivery: Ability to manage project timelines, work alongside a freelance developer, and report directly to executive leadership.

Contract & Location Details
- Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
- Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
- Location: Central London (Near Waterloo Station)
- Working Pattern: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days per week in-office)
