Software Team Lead - Tech for Good Bristol (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Up to £65,000 + excellent benefits

The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining line management and team development with hands-on coding. You’ll:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and QA specialists
- Drive agile delivery and foster a high-performing team culture
- Collaborate with product and technical stakeholders on roadmap planning
- Contribute to architecture and technical direction
- Stay involved in coding (C#/.NET), testing, and problem-solving

Key Responsibilities
- Guide, coach, and develop software engineers and testers
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, maintainable software products
- Work closely with product teams to define and prioritise roadmaps
- Drive technical decisions and maintain architectural best practices
- Represent the team externally and promote a culture of collaboration
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven line management/team leadership experience
- Strong experience working in agile environments (Scrum/Lean)
- Solid background in C#/.NET development
- Experience with integration and unit testing
- Passion for high-quality, maintainable software
- Ability to balance delivery, quality, and team development efficiently

- Experience in assistive technology or accessibility-focused projects
- Knowledge of generative AI and its application in assistive tech
