Software Test Engineer
We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to support the end-to-end software testing and proving lifecycle for simulation software releases. The role focuses on planning, executing, and reporting software testing activities to ensure compliance, quality, and readiness for release within a structured and agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test / Proving Planning
- Understand customer needs and requirements from a software proving perspective
- Review software design and architecture to define test bed requirements
- Develop comprehensive software test plans, test designs, specifications, and test sets
Test / Proving Execution
- Perform progressive testing throughout the software development lifecycle
- Lead testing activities related to software defects
- Liaise with support teams to provide log and data analysis when issues are identified
- Demonstrate compliance against defined software requirements
- Execute formal software qualification and assurance testing

Test / Proving Reporting
- Provide regular updates on software functionality to project leads and stakeholders
- Produce detailed software test and analysis reports to support certification
- Support the software release and delivery process, including final certification activities
Essential Skills & Experience
- Software testing and quality assurance experience in C++ is a must
- Test automation knowledge
- Experience analysing software logs and data
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using tools such as GitLab, JIRA, and scripting languages
- Exposure to IBM PLM / ALM / ETM / DOORS (or similar requirements management tools)
- Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
