The Role: Software Tester
You’ll play a critical role ensuring our cutting-edge Responsible Gambling software delivers flawless quality and accuracy, joining the Player Account Management team and Software Testing department.
As part of the Regulatory Delivery Stream, you’ll collaborate with industry-leading experts, leveraging AI and advanced technology to focus on:
- Risk
- Regulatory compliance
- Account limits
- Self-exclusion functionalities

- Work alongside ** Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Developers** to define and iterate test strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Software Testing & Quality Assurance
- Define efficient BDD strategies using Gherkin syntax to create clear feature files.
- Conduct Responsible Gambling-specific testing across functionality (limits, self-exclusion, reporting).
- Debug and resolve defects using Jira, ensuring traces to resolution on time.
- Provide data-driven estimates for all testing phases, prioritising quality and performance.
Collaboration & Decision-Making
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align technical and business requirements.
- Escalate issues effectively and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Innovate via subject-matter expert engagements to optimise testing methodologies.
Innovation & Ownership
- Test emerging AI-powered software tools and contribute to high-performing, scalable delivery.
- Proactively adopt emerging tech and share knowledge with peers.
- Drive process improvement through analytical problem-solving.

Tech & Domain Knowledge
- Experience in Responsible Gambling (RG) frameworks, including:
- Account limits and risk management.
- Regulatory compliance (e.g., TAMRAs).
- Self-exclusion systems.
- Proficient in Behat/Cucumber and Gherkin for Behaviour-Driven Development.
- Ability to parse and test API schemas and Markdown-based documentation.
Attitude & Skills
- High attention to detail with sharp analytical instincts.
- Adaptive mindset—Thrives with changing requirements and escalation responsibility.
- Collaborative approach—Works seamlessly in teams or independently.
