Solar PV Electrician
Location: Covering Surrey and Hampshire
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join our expanding renewables business based in Farnborough, with the primary focus on domestic solar PV installations across Surrey and surrounding areas.
This role involves high-quality installations for able-to-pay customers, with a strong emphasis on customer service, compliance, and superior workmanship. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with specialist solar experience, confident in testing, inspecting, certifying, and formally signing off their own work in compliance with regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic solar PV installations across Surrey and surrounding areas
- Install and connect solar PV systems to the highest industry standards
- Perform all necessary testing, inspection, fault finding, and commissioning
- Sign off electrical work in line with current regulations and company protocols
- Undertake battery storage and EV charging installations (where applicable)
- Complete electrical certification and relevant installation documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, professional, and customer-focused approach on-site
- Communicate effectively with customers, office teams, and project managers throughout each project
- Strict adherence to health and safety procedures, with a consistent focus on high on-site standards

Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- C&G 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification
- Proven domestic solar PV installation experience
- Confidence in self-testing, inspecting, certifying, and signing off electrical work
- Experience working with able-to-pay domestic customers
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication skills with a clean, professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team
Desirable Experience
- Battery storage experience
- ECS Gold Card
- EV charging installation experience
- Previous experience in mentoring junior electricians or improving existing skills
