Solar Sales Executive

Role Description
The Solar Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Portsmouth. This position is responsible for:
- Conducting site assessments
- Assessing customer needs
- Presenting tailored solar and low-carbon solutions to residential clients

Day-to-day activities include:

- Managing the sales pipeline
- Preparing and delivering proposals
- Negotiating terms
- Closing sales in line with company targets
- Coordinating with technical and installation teams
- Maintaining accurate records in CRM systems
- Providing post-sale support to ensure a positive customer experience
The successful candidate will:
- Represent CRG Direct professionally
- Participate in local marketing or outreach activities
- Stay current on industry trends and incentives
Qualifications
- Strong sales, negotiation, and consultative selling skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Knowledge of:
- Solar PV systems
- Low-carbon technologies (e.g., batteries, EV charge points, heat pumps) OR a willingness to learn quickly
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language
- Solid organisational and time management skills, including:
- Experience using CRM tools
- Managing a structured sales pipeline
- Customer-focused mindset
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- A proactive approach to resolving issues
- Ability to work on-site in Portsmouth
- Prior experience in:
- Telesales
- Renewable energy
- Home improvement services (highly beneficial)
- Valid driver’s license
- Right to work in the UK
- Advantageous (but not mandatory):
- Relevant vocational training
- Degree in:
- Business
- Engineering
- A related field
