Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a key business and influential player in the global energy market. The company have a vast portfolio of renewable energy assets and have a brilliant company culture of looking after their employees. We’re looking for a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join the team to cover large scale, ground mount solar assets across Kent.

This Solar Technician comes with a salary up to £40,000, with door to door pay and paid overtime too, including travel time.

Responsibilities and duties of the Solar Technician role

Reporting To The Field Service Team Leader You Will

  • Ensure the best performance of large-scale renewable energy assets
  • Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery storage sites
  • Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties
  • Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues
  • Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets
  • Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems
  • Looking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result
  • Occasional electrical works across the site including the welfare cabins and other associated electrics
  • Occasional working way from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this

We Are Looking For Someone With The Following

  • At least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation
  • 2391 test and inspection is hugely preferred
  • Solar experience is preferred but not essential
  • Any health and safety qualifications are a benefit
  • Full UK driving licence
