About Agrivert Group & Chiltern Solar

Chiltern Solar is an MCS and NAPIT accredited SolarPV business. Operating from our offices in Buckinghamshire for over 13 years, Chiltern Solar prides itself on delivering systems to the highest designs and standards. Following the acquisition of the business the Agrivert Group in 2023, Chiltern Solar is now on an exciting expansion journey.

The Agrivert Group specialises in renewable energy. Founded 30 years ago, Agrivert has continuously provided engineering and operational excellence to its customers. We design, build and operate facilities that produce biogas and specify, install and maintain solar PV for commercial, agricultural and domestic clients. We are technology agnostic and specify solution specific products for each and every project we undertake.

About The Role

We are seeking experienced Roofer/SolarPV installers that wishes to further improve their career and join an expanding team.

Key tasks

  • Carry out installation work safely and in accordance with the Risk Assessment and Method Statement.
  • Ensure the installation are installed to the highest standard.
  • Setting out and installing Solar PV panels on a range of roof types:
    • Slate, Concrete Tile, Tin Sheet (both domestic and commercial).
  • Installation of in-roof systems including flashings and dry ridge systems.
  • Assembly of ballasted systems.
  • Assembly of ground mount systems.
  • DC wiring and termination of MC4 connections, including testing and recording string voltage and current and Riso.
  • Ensure installation is installed in accordance with Installation Pack wherever possible and notify.
  • Updating installation packs to reflect any changes to design due to site conditions.

Key Skills

  • At least 1 years of experience in industry.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (we are not able to provide visa sponsorship) and hold a valid full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Previous experience in leading teams.
  • BPEC qualification or equivalent in installation of Solar PV.
  • CSCS card.
  • MEWP/IPAF qualifications (preferable)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues or complications that arise during installation.

What We Offer:

Salary: A Pay: £12.01 - £14.42 per hour dependant on experience. Equivalent salary £25,000 – £30,000 per annum. Overtime available on ad hoc basis.

Expected hours: 40hrs per week (on site) Monday to Friday plus ad hoc overtime as required.

Benefits:

  • Uniform and PPE will be provided for the successful applicant.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
