Manchester Investment & Property Management Lawyer – 2 PQE (Firm Rating: Tier 2)


The Role & Team

An exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor (2 PQE) to join Brabners' Manchester office, joining our Investment & Property Management team within the Real Estate Group.

The Team

  • A dynamic group of experienced property lawyers
  • Deliver efficient, cost-effective legal services for commercial real estate
  • Handle a breadth of transactions, including:
    • Acquisitions and disposals
    • Asset management
    • Corporate support
    • Strategic property advice

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Drafting & Negotiation

    • Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial property documents, including:
      • Leases
      • Licences
      • Related agreements
  • Transaction Support

    • Assist in investment and property management transactions, ensuring:
      • Efficiency
      • High-quality outcomes
      • Timely progression
  • Client Advisory

    • Provide clear, practical, and client-focused legal advice on:
      • Commercial property issues
      • Portfolio management
  • Client Relationships

    • Support portfolio management work for diverse clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships.

  • Matter Management

    • Work collaboratively with senior lawyers on complex matters, gaining exposure to high-calibre real estate work
    • Manage your own caseload (under supervision), meeting deadlines and client expectations.
  • Quality & Cost Focus

    • Contribute to a cost-effective, commercially-driven service aligned with team objectives.

About You

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor with approximately 2 years' PQE (Post Qualifying Experience), preferably with:
    • Commercial property or real estate expertise

Experience

  • Relevant training contract or equivalent qualification, including exposure to:
    • Property transactions
    • Asset management

Skills & Attributes

  • Superior drafting & organisational skills with a defect-free attention to detail
  • Commercially astute, delivering practical, client-centric legal insights
  • Caseload self-management:
    • Ability to handle a varied workload independently
    • Balance individual tasks with team collaboration
  • Strong communication:
    • Build positive client and colleague relationships
