Senior Associate – Dispute Resolution
Location: Guildford (Hybrid)

A leading regional law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate OR Legal Director to join its highly regarded Dispute Resolution team. Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join a market-leading litigation team handling complex, high-value commercial disputes. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on significant matters, mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

This role offers exposure to high-quality work across a broad range of commercial disputes, together with a genuine opportunity to progress towards Partnership within a supportive and ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from instruction through to resolution.
- Advise clients on contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and wider business litigation.
- Handle complex commercial disputes using negotiation, mediation and court proceedings where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with senior colleagues on high-value and strategically significant matters.
- Advise clients on dispute resolution strategies with a commercially focused and pragmatic approach.
- Support and mentor junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals, contributing to their professional development.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional client service.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, networking activities and the continued growth of the Dispute Resolution practice.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in Commercial Dispute Resolution.
- Approximately 7+ years PQE preferred, although experienced Associates seeking progression to Senior Associate will also be considered.
- Strong technical experience handling contractual and shareholder disputes.
- Experience advising on complex commercial litigation matters from inception through to resolution.
- Construction disputes experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy preparation skills.
- Commercial awareness with strong client relationship management abilities.
- Collaborative, proactive and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
