Newly Qualified Solicitor (NQ) - Litigation Team
We are looking for a Newly Qualified Solicitor (NQ) to join our growing litigation team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified legal professional seeking to develop their career within a fast-paced and highly regarded legal environment.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will manage a varied caseload of litigation matters, provide high-quality legal advice to clients, and contribute to achieving successful outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and client service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a caseload of litigation matters.
- Review and approve legal documentation and case files in line with the Mazur ruling.
- Progressing matters efficiently while ensuring all litigation deadlines are met.
- Keeping clients informed through regular case updates.
- Using internal case management systems to maintain accurate and comprehensive records.
- Ensuring compliance with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Contributing to team meetings, practice development initiatives, and business growth activities.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and legal best practice.
- Achieving individual performance, fee income, and time recording targets.

Essential
- Qualified Solicitor (or due to qualify shortly).
- Good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience of litigation matters relating to secured or unsecured lending.
- Knowledge of financial services regulation, including MCOB, CONC, DISP, SYSC and PRIN.
- Experience using case management systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
