At Parkingeye, we are committed to delivering exceptional parking solutions across the UK. Our legal team plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, managing risk, and supporting our business operations. We are seeking a talented Legal Counsel / Solicitor to join our Chorley office and contribute to our continued success.
As Legal Counsel / Solicitor, you will provide practical legal advice and support across the Group, responding to day-to-day legal queries and delivering training to promote efficiency and strong working relationships. The role involves reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, supporting tender submissions, and advising on sector-specific matters including land ownership, VAT, insolvency, data protection and intellectual property. You will also assist with disputes and legal claims, conduct legal research, liaise with senior executives to obtain approvals, and support the effective management of contracts through the Group’s contract management system.

Responsibilities:
- Provide pragmatic legal advice across a wide range of commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including the Group’s standard contracts, frameworks, bespoke agreements, amendments, novations, services agreements, NDAs and supplier terms and condition
- Advising and responding to legal queries submitted by the Group.
- Assisting in tender submissions, including, but not limited to, clarifications, assumptions, and T&Cs review.
- Liaising with and providing advice to the Group in respect of sector specific queries, including land ownership, VAT and insolvency issues.
- Advising on data protection and intellectual property matters.
- Advising as appropriate on disputes, dispute resolution and legal claims.
- Providing training and support to the Group to facilitate efficiency and strong working relationships.
- Carrying out legal research and staying up to date on sector specific developments.
- Liaising with the senior executive teams within the Group to obtain approvals and signatures for contracts and other legal documents.

About You:
- Would suit a newly qualified / junior solicitor with experience in commercial contracts.
- Attention to detail and the ability to draft clear and concise legal documentation.
- Ability to take a pragmatic and risk-based approach and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
