Commercial Solicitor (4+ PQE)

Location: Oxford (Hybrid)

A leading national law firm is looking to appoint a Commercial Solicitor to join its growing Commercial team in Oxford. Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Commercial team working on a broad range of complex and strategic commercial matters. You'll work alongside experienced specialists advising clients across multiple sectors, gaining exposure to sophisticated contractual work while taking ownership of your own matters and developing long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts and business agreements.
  • Advise clients on day-to-day commercial matters, providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal solutions.
  • Support clients across a range of sectors, including technology, intellectual property, transport, construction, consumer products and other commercial industries.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues on complex commercial transactions and cross-disciplinary matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional levels of service and commercial advice.
  • Manage your own caseload efficiently while maintaining excellent financial and file management standards.
  • Contribute to business development, networking and client relationship initiatives to support the continued growth of the Commercial team.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 4+ years PQE in Commercial Law.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of business objectives.
  • Experience working with corporate, SME or national commercial clients.
  • Strong financial and matter management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and client relationship management abilities.
  • Commercially minded with an interest in business development.
  • Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Collaborative, proactive and motivated to develop within a growing team.
