Location: Glasgow

Role: Solicitor/Associate with experience in Medical Negligence and/or Personal Injury claims

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time

Experience Level: 2 to 10 years’ PQE

Salary: Negotiable and commensurate with experience

L&M MediLaw is an award-winning, specialist medical negligence service for claimants and is part of the larger litigation firm, Levy & McRae. The team is working at present on the major Eljamel public inquiry and is handling a large number of medical negligence claims for clients affected. The role will include working on this high-profile case.

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate, committed solicitor to join our expanding Glasgow-based team. The ideal candidate will have a personal injury background, with experience in medical negligence being desirable but not essential. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people and is committed to achieving the best results for our clients. We welcome part-time applicants and are happy to accommodate flexible and hybrid working.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of medical negligence claims.
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to clients.
  • Liaise with medical experts and counsel.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor.
  • Personal injury background preferable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
