Description

We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware banking/finance Solicitor / Associate (2+ years’ PQE) to join our Funding Team in Birmingham on a 6 Month FTC Basis. The team specialises in securing and structuring funding solutions for clients (both lender and borrower) across our key sectors, including social housing, health & social care, charities and social enterprises.

About the role and team

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on a broad range of funding arrangements, including acquisition finance, development finance, refinancing, and complex structured funding transactions. Work will include advising social impact funders and borrowers alike on funding instruments and associated security, including listed bond issues, private placements and ISDA agreements.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a purpose-driven firm that combines legal expertise with a strong social impact focus and to work within a team that handles transactions totalling over £1billion for the UK social housing sector alone each Financial Year.

The firm offers flexible working on a hybrid model with two days in our Birmingham office and offers significant exposure to boards and executive teams within our fantastic clients (with travel needed (where appropriate) to support the same).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
