The Team You Will Join
We are looking for a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive to join our specialist Home Ownership Disputes Team. The Home Ownership Disputes Team sits within our wider Property Disputes Team and forms part of our Dispute Resolution Division.
The Home Ownership Disputes Team, headed by Laura Tanguay, consists of a team of dedicated lawyers specialising in resolving cohabitation and property trust disputes, principally under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA). The Work You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate will exclusively support the Home Ownership Disputes Team in relation to TOLATA and other equitable claims. Typical cases include advising clients on orders for sale, the quantification of beneficial shares, and equitable accounting. We also draft cohabitation agreements. You will manage your own caseload under supervision, as well as supporting the senior members of the team with their cases.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Running and managing files and delegating to junior lawyers and trainees as appropriate.
- Interacting directly with clients sensitively and empathetically.
- Responding to new enquiries.
- Assisting senior members of the team with their cases.
Business development and helping to grow the firm’s TOLATA practice, including writing regular articles for the firm’s website and other external publications.
Please note that this job profile is not an exhaustive list of duties but merely an outline of the key components of the role. You may be required by your line manager to take on additional responsibilities when requested.
What We Are Looking For
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
