The London team advises lenders, borrowers, and financial market participants on novel structures and cross-border transactions.
About HSF Kramer Digital Finance
The HSF Kramer Digital Finance team offers managed legal services for finance transactions, complemented by collaboration with London’s Finance Teams on major mandates.
The Opportunity
This client-facing role within our Belfast-based Digital Finance team provides an exciting chance to work on high-profile deals—while fostering relationships with leading clients.
Your work may also include outsourcing projects involving:
- Negotiation of Business-as-Usual (BAU) finance documentation, such as NDAs and release letters
- Acting effectively as an extension of clients’ in-house legal teams
Travel to London will be limited but may be required.
Key Responsibilities

Financing Transactions:
- Assist in company searches, corporate authorisations, and drafting ancillary documents
- Draft security documents and manage conditions precedent, contributing to closing procedures

Outsourcing Projects:
- Negotiate and review Bilateral banking documents or trade finance agreements on behalf of clients

Project Collaboration:
- Engage with other HSF Kramer practice groups globally to deliver high standards of legal services

Team Supervision:
- Supervise Trainees or Legal Analysts, handling complex legal tasks or as directed by Senior Solicitors/Managers

Knowledge & Compliance:
- Maintain currency in finance law and ensure financial disciplines (e.g., time recording accuracy) are upheld
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential:
✅ Fully qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Northern Ireland (Republic of Ireland/other common law jurisdictions considered). Note: If not qualified in England & Wales, willingness to requalify is required.
✅ 1-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE), with at least 6 months in Banking & Finance Law.
Desirable:
🔹 Prior experience in a legal practice environment (preferably a private law firm or in-house function)
🔹 Hands-on knowledge of Banking & Finance transactional work
🔹 UK-based (must reside at least 100 miles away from a London HSF Kramer office)
