The HSF Kramer Digital Finance team is part of our broader Digital Legal Delivery practice, specialising in cost-efficient, high-quality managed legal services for finance transactions. We operate collaboratively with the HSF Kramer Finance team, delivering market-leading legal solutions to some of the world’s most ambitious clients.

The Role: Digital Finance Legal Associate
The ideal candidate will join the HSF Kramer Digital Finance senior team in Belfast, acting as an integral part of our growing, client-focused banking and finance legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Financing Transactions: Assist in complex financial deals, including:
- Conducting company searches and drafting corporate authorisations
- Preparing security documents and other transactional paperwork
- Managing conditions precedent and executing closing documents
- Document Negotiations: Lead outsourcing projects, negotiating critical finance documents for clients such as:
- Banking bilateral agreements
- Trade finance documents
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and trade release documents
- Collaborative Work:
- Engage with other HSF Kramer practice groups across our global network to provide seamless service delivery
- Supervise trainees and legal analysts on complex issues as directed by senior team members
- Knowledge & Compliance: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant finance legal areas and ensure financial discipline (e.g., accurate time recording)
- Flexibility: Offer additional support on client-focused tasks as required

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
✅ Qualification: Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Northern Ireland (or another Common Law jurisdiction), with a willingness to requalify in England & Wales if necessary. ✅ Experience: 1–3 years’ PQE, with a minimum of 6 months’ Banking & Finance Law experience.
Desirable Attributes
🔹 Experience in either private practice law firms or an in-house legal team 🔹 Practical Banking & Finance transactional expertise 🔹 Eligibility to be UK-based, excluding residents in Northern Ireland, with a requirement to live at least 100 miles away from an HSF Kramer London office. (Otherwise location flexible.)
