An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Solicitor to join our Tier 1 ranked Housing Management team, part of the Dispute Resolution department.
The team is ranked by both Chambers and Legal 500 directories as one of the premier litigation departments in Wales and beyond. The department provides legal advice to clients across a wide spectrum of commercial, property and housing disputes.
The role
This role arises in our housing management team who are national leaders in their field. The team provides expert legal advice to registered social landlords and local authority clients across Wales and England.
Their advice covers all aspects of tenancy enforcement arising out of nuisance behaviour, criminal activity or anti-social behaviour and other issues to include defending disrepair claims, homelessness, and navigating the changes The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 has brought.

The role will include a wide range of tasks and responsibilities including producing court documents, attending hearings, negotiating with other parties, advising clients, and supervision of Paralegals within the team.
Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills as well as the ability to work within tight deadlines. The team work very closely with clients and are often referred to as an extension of their teams, so excellent client care skills are a must.

The role would be suited to a lawyer with advocacy and/or litigation experience and be a qualified solicitor or barrister.
Any litigation background would be considered, and the role may suit criminal or personal injury lawyers looking for a change of direction.
