Employment Associate Solicitor
Glasgow | Hybrid Working

The role
As an Employment Associate Solicitor, you’ll handle a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on contentious work.
Day to day, this includes:
- Advising on employment disputes, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and breach of contract claims
- Preparing and defending Employment Tribunal proceedings, including hearings and judicial mediations
- Providing practical advice on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and workplace policies
- Supporting transactional matters, including M&A, due diligence, and TUPE
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, consultancy agreements, and NXD appointments
- Advising on restructures, redundancies, settlement agreements, and negotiated exits
- Working alongside dispute resolution colleagues on restrictive covenants and post-termination matters
- Delivering client training, webinars, and thought leadership content
About you
This role would suit an Employment Solicitor who:

- Has established experience in employment law, ideally at Associate level
- Has handled a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Has solid knowledge of employment and discrimination law
- Has experience of Tribunal litigation and advocacy support
- Has some transactional experience, including M&A and TUPE (advantageous but not essential)
- Has excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Takes a commercial, solutions-focused approach to client work
