Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Solicitor/ Experienced Paralegal to join our Industrial Disease Department within our well-established firm located in Bradford, with easy access to motorway links and onsite parking.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be reporting to the Head of Industrial Disease. You will be allocated your own caseload, predominately Noise Induced Hearing Loss cases, running the cases from inception to completion/settlement or Trial. The job role will include (but not limited to);

- Attending new clients and explanation of CFA, funding options, etc
- Obtaining initial instructions and risk assessment
- Completing questionnaires
- Reviewing medical records and reports
- Companies house search, ELTO, and drafting Protocol letters
- Instructing suitable medical experts
- Advising clients on quantum
- Negotiating settlements
- Drafting witness statements, court documents
- Issuing court proceedings
- Preparing for Trial
Personal Specification
In order to provide the best possible service to our clients, we are looking for;
- Solicitor or highly experienced Paralegal
- Someone who has excellent written and oral skills
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Case Management Systems
- Must be self-motivated and also be able to work as a team
- To ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards in accordance with the Office Manual and the SRA Code of Conduct
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of the CPR and Pre-action Protocol for Disease and Illness Claims

Job Specification
- Full-time position (9.15am to 5.15pm)
- Office based in Bradford, West Yorkshire
- Salary Negotiable depending on experience
- Experience required: At least 2 years of working in an Industrial Disease department
- Qualification: Preferably completed the LPC or equivalent qualification
