Solicitor - Head of Conveyancing
Head of Conveyancing & Private Client Solicitor (Maternity Cover)
Location: Lincolnshire / Hybrid Salary: £30,000 - £55,000 DOE Contract: 9-12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (potential for permanent)
An excellent opportunity to lead an established Conveyancing department within a well-respected law firm offering hybrid working, free on-site parking and the potential for a permanent position.

OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established law firm in a senior leadership role, providing maternity cover as Head of Conveyancing & Private Client Solicitor within a busy and successful department.
You will:
- Lead the Conveyancing team while managing a caseload of Residential and Commercial Conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and commercial leases.
- Take responsibility for the firm's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance, maintaining lender panel memberships and promoting best practice across the department.
- Oversee and supervise Private Client work, including Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning, supporting and mentoring fee earners to ensure the highest standards of client service.
- Contribute to business planning, departmental development and the implementation of internal policies and procedures in line with SRA guidance and the Conveyancing Protocol.

REQUIREMENTS
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with a minimum of 3 years' PQE and significant experience in:
- Residential and Commercial Conveyancing
- Supervisory or management experience
The successful candidate will possess:
- Strong technical and organisational skills
- Confidence using legal case management systems
- Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance within a modern legal practice
Experience maintaining CQS accreditation and lender panel relationships would be advantageous.
