We're seeking 2 qualified Solicitors to join the team.

As a Solicitor within the team, you will take responsibility for managing a litigated caseload from instruction through to resolution, working collaboratively with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality legal outcomes. You will also contribute to the development of junior team members and support continuous improvement across the team.

The team advises on and defends litigated Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims for a range of insurer clients, including issuing counterclaims where appropriate. They manage personal injury matters across Part 7 Fast Track, OIC and MOJ processes, with claim values typically ranging from £1,000 to £25,000.

The role is hybrid, with office attendance required in Liverpool 2 days per week; the team’s office days are a Monday and Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and progress a complex litigated caseload of Motor Defendant Insurance cases to conclusion.
  • Apply technical expertise to drive proactive settlement strategies and deliver value for clients.
  • Ensure all files are handled in line with client SLAs and internal processes.
  • Use case management systems effectively to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines and performance targets.
  • Support, mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

  • Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent experience) with a strong interest in Motor Insurance litigation.
  • Proven experience managing a litigated motor insurance caseload.
  • Sound knowledge of Part 7 Fast Track, OIC and/or MOJ processes.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of client needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
