Solicitor 2 – 5 years PQE
Property Litigation, Dispute Resolution – Southampton or Bournemouth

The Role
We are seeking a motivated Solicitor or CILEX to join our expanding Property Litigation team on a full time basis, although part time may be considered. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing a varied property litigation and wider commercial disputes caseload. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team consisting of two partners, a senior associate, two solicitors, a paralegal and a secretary with further work from the wider Dispute Resolution Department. You will be joining a busy and friendly team who work collaboratively on a large case load that covers the full breadth of property litigation services.

- Manage your own case load of a mixture of property litigation files – acting for many developers; retail chains, commercial property owners, agents, residential landlords and private individuals;
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team on larger files;
- Carry out marketing and business development activity as appropriate;
- Provide a high-quality legal service to our clients;
- Offer advice on legal procedures and a wide range of associated issues;
- Work and behave in a professional manner and to the highest standards of the profession;
- Comply with procedures set out in the Office Manual, professional standards and any requirements set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority;
- Carry out duties given by the partners or employees faithfully and diligently and follow all reasonable instruction;
- Keep up-to-date with changes in the law.
The Candidate
The successful candidate would ideally possess the following attributes:
- Ideally have 2 – 5 years PQE, although candidates with less experience may be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Drive and enthusiasm;
- Client focused mentality;
- Good organisational skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure compliance with key dates.
- High attention to detail;
- Willing to take ownership and be accountable for own work;
- IT Literate: Proficiency in using legal software and other IT tools including Word and a Document Management system.
- Interest in learning about Artificial Intelligence and how that can improve our legal services;
- Strong Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willingness to Learn and stay up to date with changes in the law;
- Knowledge of Property Litigation: Ability to handle own caseload of a mixture of property litigation work and support others with their cases in the team. Knowledge in collective enfranchisement and/or telecoms would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to other offices when required, including Winchester.
