Property Solicitor – In-House Legal Team

Base Location: Dublin or Belfast (expected 50% in-office presence)

Salary: €65,300 - €97,900 ROI / £51,600 - £77,400 UK Plus: Performance-related bonus + comprehensive benefits

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full-time | Flexible First options available


About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to join SSE’s in-house legal team as a Property Solicitor, supporting the safe and responsible delivery of vital energy projects. By collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders, you’ll provide trusted legal guidance on property matters across onshore and offshore developments. As part of a supportive, purpose-driven team, you’ll contribute to a culture of integrity, care, and accountability—ensuring all decisions uphold safety, sustainability, quality, and respect for communities and environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of property and land agreements, ensuring alignment with safe and sustainable project delivery.
  • Provide clear, practical legal guidance to stakeholders, fostering confidence and ensuring ethical property resolutions.
  • Manage relationships with external legal partners, balancing quality support with cost efficiency.
  • Support Tailte Éireann applications and queries, maintaining meticulous accuracy and attention to detail at every stage.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to cultivate a culture of shared learning, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor in Ireland with 2–5 years PQE (experience varies depending on qualifications).
  • Strong foundation in property law, including:
    • Drafting and negotiating property agreements.
    • Exposure to title investigations and land registration processes.
  • A thoughtful, collaborative mindset, able to work independently or within a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills and sound commercial awareness, prioritising clarity, care, and positive outcomes.
  • A proactive, organised approach, with an appreciation for safety-first and values-driven environments (energy sector experience is a plus).
