Geldards LLP is a leading regional law firm with offices in Cardiff, Derby, Nottingham and London. We are currently looking for a Solicitor or Associate to join our Infrastructure and Construction team in either Nottingham or Derby to assist with its varied and quality workload from a diverse client base.
About the Role
The role will involve assisting the partners and other members of the team in providing legal guidance and advice to existing clients and engage in new business development activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Construction and Infrastructure team by providing a high-quality legal service to existing clients in a timely manner.
- Provide appropriate guidance and advice to clients and process client cases on all aspects of Infrastructure and Construction law in a timely and cost-effective basis.
- Engage in new business development activities, with support of senior team members.
- Bill and collect debts by achieving individual and team financial cost targets.
- Develop and maintain good client relationships and enhance the Firm’s client base by effective liaison with existing and new clients.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with relevant experience.
- Excellent level of technical legal knowledge.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads, prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate confidently with both clients and all department levels across the Firm.
- Ability to identify where support and guidance for junior members of the team is needed.

Benefits
In return you will have the opportunity to develop your career within our award winning Infrastructure and Construction team based in our Derby or Nottingham office and will be paid a competitive salary (dependent on experience) as well as qualifying for other benefits listed below.
- 35 hour working week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to a maximum of 30 days for additional years of service)
- A day off on your birthday each year (or closest working day)
