I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Define the Solution: Lead the discovery and assessment of migrating a large, varied web estate from Akamai to AFD. You will evaluate current configurations, identify simplification opportunities, and secure approval for a secure target architecture.
- Deliver the Solution: Support the active migration of a pre-defined service to AFD. This includes guiding DevOps engineers through CI/CD pipeline automation, validating code, establishing routes to live, producing operational run-books, and providing hyper-care during cutover.
What We're Looking For
- CDN Expertise: Strong, demonstrable experience with both Akamai and Azure Front Door, ideally having led migrations between the two.
- DevOps and Automation: Familiarity with implementing CI/CD pipelines to deploy AFD solutions using Azure DevOps and Terraform.
- Azure Ecosystem: Deep knowledge of wider Azure infrastructure and security components (e.g., Application Gateways, NSGs, Azure Monitor) that integrate with CDN deployments.
- Communication: Proven ability to direct technical reviews, collaborate with third-party engineering partners (Capgemini), and present clear, value-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
