Job Title

Solution Architect – Corporate Functions Technology

Job Description

The Solution Architect leads the design of technology solutions that support Finance functions within the Corporate Functions Technology team. This role bridges business and technology, translating intricate requirements into architecturally sound, scalable, and strategically aligned system designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deep expertise in Finance and Data platforms.
  • Ensuring technology solutions align with enterprise architecture, security standards, and long-term strategy.
  • Enabling integrated, end-to-end processes through automation and platform-led innovation.
  • Optimising data consistency and minimising operational complexity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with Corporate Function teams to clarify strategic goals and intricate business needs, translating them into clear, high-value solution designs covering functional, non-functional, integration, data, security, and resilience criteria.
  • Design scalable solutions: Own end-to-end solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, target state architecture, and technology strategy. Adhere to governance and assurance frameworks.
  • Foster integrated Finance processes: Develop solutions that streamline Finance and Corporate Function workflows, enhancing data consistency and reducing manual effort via automation and platform capabilities.
  • Adopt modern architectures: Incorporate emerging design principles—such as API-led, event-driven, and automation-first architectures—where beneficial to improve efficiency and adaptability.
  • Collaborative leadership: Partner with enterprise architects, engineers, analysts, and delivery teams across the solution lifecycle. Foster design integrity and maintain robust oversight throughout implementation.
  • Risk mitigation: Identify and manage design risks, assumptions, and dependencies. Implement mitigation strategies that address cost, risk, complexity, and strategic alignment derivatives.
  • Provide evidence-based guidance: Evaluate solution options and communicate objective recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Governance and compliance: Contribute to architecture forums, ensuring designs meet quality, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Promote best practices: Drive continuous improvement in solution design patterns, reuse, and consistency towards a standardised framework.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
