Solution Architect
Solution Architect – Banking/Fintech Experience
Location: Hybrid (London-based) Contract Length: Initial 6 months Rate: £650–£700 per day (Outside IR35)
A leading UK financial services organisation is seeking several experienced Solution Architects to support a major transformation programme. Working within a complex technology landscape, you'll help define architecture, drive technical decision-making, and ensure successful delivery across critical business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end solution architectures for large-scale programmes.
- Provide architectural leadership across applications, integrations, APIs, and data platforms.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive architecture governance, standards, and best practices.
- Engage senior business and technology stakeholders.

Required Experience
- Strong Solution Architecture experience within financial services.
- Background in core banking, payments, lending, or digital banking environments.
- Expertise in distributed systems and microservices.
- API and integration architecture skills.
- Knowledge of data architecture and data modelling.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Experience
- Hands-on experience within challenger banks, fintechs, or large-scale banking transformation programmes.
- Experience leading architecture teams and third-party suppliers.
